The Dumbest and Greatest race ever

I own a 1992 prelude si with a jdm h23a swap with headers and exhaust....its my first car also.......I DID NOT KNOW MY CAR HAD A BLOWN ALTERNATOR.

i was at work when another kid i work with came up to me and says : "yo does your honda have vtec?"

i said : "na, its the h23 motor...the h22 has vtec"


he then says : "ohh, so (NAME) would smoke you" - then proceeded to laugh..


I then found out from this kid that another kid we work with was talking smack about my prelude saying it was slow and non vtec so he will smoke me....this kid drives a 2008 mitsubishi lancer .

I then call this kid.. and challenge him to race me ... all his friends heared me, im guessing he was with his racing buddies and he had the phone on speaker phone. they all showed up and parked in front of my house and waited for me to get home , i walked over to them and they said : bring it..

i took a quick glance at what i would be racing as i walked toward my house, there was a 2008 mitsubishi lancer, an rsx type -s and a 2000 civic si.............all these cars have work done to them

i did not hesitate.. i got in my car and headed toward the highway.. i slowly climbed up the rpms as we proceeded on to the on-ramp, at this point the lancer was right behind me almost touching my bumper... once we got on the high way i let her loose.. after 5 seconds i was already ahead of all of them and the only one keeping up was the rsx.. i then shifted into 4th and then took off from there... i was already beating them by a car or two......... we were all going about 130-140 mph swerving in and out of cars and trucks...


after i got off the highway the lancer found me and lined up on a straight-away , i then noticed my interior lights started to dim and almost completely turned off i was going to say something but he already made the first beep... 2nd beep i put it into first...3rd beep we took off

i launched on him .. but he was right next to me neck and neck until 3rd gear and i started to pull away and fast, as i shifted into 4th....the worst thing imaginable happened... my interior lights turned off and my gauges stopped working and car started to slow down... i already knew what was going on because this happened to me before.... my alternator was shot..

i then thought quickly and turned off my headlights and pressed the off button on the radio..

the car regained a little power and i was racing in the dark with no gauges..

at this point he already caught up and was 1 car length in front of me


but i put the pedal to the floor and slammed it into 5th i slowly climbed on him and just barley got about a half a cars length in front of him....


I WON

then my car completely died.... i pop started it and got home as fast as possible (which was 15 miles per hour LOL) the car completely died on me when i got off the highway (THANK GOD I DINT GET STUCK ON THE HIGHWAY)

and i let it roll to a safe spot and i let it sit there untill i got my other car and came to jump it and let it charge up...then i drove it the rest of the way home



AND THAT MY FRIENDS IS THE CRAZIEST THING THATS EVER HAPPENED TO ME DURING A RACE ...the funny thing is the guys i raced all tried to spread the rumour that my car is slow after this whole event, i found this out because one of my friends just happened to be in one of their cars during the race.....i then called all of them and asked " if my cars slow what happened on the highway? and what happened to the lancer on the straight away?"---they were all speechless...and didn't say a word.


lets see what happens when my "slow non-vtec prelude" is running at full power when the alternator gets fixed.

the kids your racing must be as stupid as you and not know how to drive i own a prelude and an rsx type s and my lude puts 240hp to the wheels and its a h23a1 with work it runs a 13.9 1/4mile and my rsx with just and intake exhuast and type r cam and ecu will smoke it. the lancer wasnt an evo so you got nothing to brag about there and the civic si has the same hp as your motor and its lighter. I really dont know what to say to a dumb post like this i dont mean to bust your balls or call you stupid but this is the most retarded post i ever read thanks for wasting my time. GROW UP AND GO TO THE TRACK

i was never bragging about how fast my car was...if you could read correctly i titled the story "The Dumbest and Greatest race ever" which means you knew it was going to be dumb in the first place.... i know what happened was stupid but was pretty crazy at the same time.... the lancer had some work done to it so it was not stock and was defiantly not slow....the civic had more work done then my car did and the rsx was fast!! probably about as fast as yours as it seems. THE WHOLE POINT OF THE STORY WAS THEY SUCK AT DRIVING, I BEAT ALL OF THEM WITH A SLOWER CAR AND NO ALTERNATOR, by the way.... i crashed my prelude after avoiding a deer and hitting a tree....now i have a R35 Skyline (DONT BELIEVE ME, I WILL GLADLY MAKE A VIDEO OR TAKE A PICTURE WILE IM DRIVING IT WITH YOUR NAME ON THE WINDSHIELD.) and about to build a 93 jdm h23 turbo, so suck my nuts tough guy
